Alkistis Milioni, piano

was born in Thessaloniki. She began her piano studies at age seven at the State Conservatorium Thessaloniki, where she graduated with “High Distinction”.
She continued her studies at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, graduating from the classes of Profs. G. Fauth and M. Kirschnereit, also with “High Distinction,” in both piano and in chamber music. She completed her musical education by collaborating with artists such as B. Pergamentschikow, R. Gothoni, V. Margulis, M. Sanderling and recently, D. Barenboim.

Alkistis Milioni is a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, such as “K. Papaioanou”, “Jugend musiziert”, Mozartwettbewerb (Rome), Helexpo ‘96,
double scholarship holder of the I. Kostopoulos Endowment, as well as the
Hindemith Endowment.

As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at Staatsoper Berlin, Gastheig München, State Theater Thessaloniki, New Castle Sage and Mozarteum Salzburg. Some of her chamber music partners were S. Palm, M. Groh and the Mandelring Quartett, among others.

Since 2002 Alkistis Milioni has been teaching at the Hanns Eisler Berlin as well as the HMT Rostock. Moreover, she is a guest lecturer for international masterclasses, as well as for the Staatsoper Berlin and Mozarteum Salzburg.
She has made numerous recordings for Greek television, as well as for Deutschlandradio Berlin.
